Carpathian Gold Inc. (CPN: TSX) is a mineral exploration company focused on exploring and developing properties with the potential to host world class gold and copper + gold deposits within the Carpathian Arc Region of Eastern/Central Europe. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is actively advancing exploration and development projects on mineral licenses and gold properties in Romania and Hungary.

While the company holds exploration licenses in the three principal mineral belts of Romania, its focus is in central Romania where the company has a strategic land position in the historic gold producing 'Golden Quadrilateral' mining district. The 43-101 first resource estimate issued May 29,2007 outlined 3.1 M/ozs Gold and 1.1 billion lbs of Copper at Rovina and Colnic porphyries.

The company also plans to add a second advanced platform in 2008 , the Riacho dos Machados (RDM) properties in Brazil consisting of near term production and extensive exploration licenses.
2008 Objectives
  • complete second Resource Estimate (43-101) in early 2nd qtr ‘08 on Rovina license in Romania from 2007 drilling and continue 2008 drill program
  • drill new porphyry targets on Rovina license identified from generative exploration ( ie: Ciresata)
  • initiate aggressive work program on Riacho dos Machados (RDM) land portfolio in Brazil
  • enhance and expound on social commitment to local community in Romania
  • increase shareholder value with two advanced exploration platforms, Romania and Brazil
