Brio Gold Reports 1Q Production Of 50,540 Ounces
Brio Gold Inc. (TSX: BRIO), which in December became a stand-alone company after a spinoff from Yamana Gold Inc., reports that preliminary first-quarter gold production was 50,540 ounces. All-in sustaining costs for the January-March period were listed at $1,056 an ounce. “Production at Fazenda Brasileiro for the year is back-end-weighted and is expected to increase quarter over quarter,” the company says. “The Pilar mine remains on track. First-quarter production from the RDM mine was lower as the company replaced the existing primary crusher for a larger capacity crusher as part of the RDM expansion plan. The mine was down for 10 days as this work was completed. The water storage dam at RDM was completed on schedule and on budget in the first quarter.” A power line is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2018, Brio adds.
