Gold Extends Early Losses, Trading At Daily Lows
(Kitco News) - Gold prices are trading moderately lower and have hit their session lows in late-morning dealings Thursday. Early losses were extended, as some profit-taking is featured by the shorter-term futures traders, following this week's gains. The U.S. dollar index has also firmed up today and is trading at its daily high, which is also a negative for the precious metals markets. June gold was last down $8.70 an ounce at $1,344.40.
