Charles Krauthammer, Conservative Commentator, Dies At 68

(Kitco News) - Charles Krauthammer, the conservative columnist for Fox News and Pulitzer Prize winner, has passed away Thursday at the age of 68.

During his time at Fox, Krauthammer became known as the “dean of conservative commentators”

He has also appeared on Kitco News to discuss his views on the gold standard and joined a panel discussion on a Libertarian vs. Democrat vs. Republican debate right before the 2012 U.S. Presidential election

Krauthammer’s death was caused by cancer. He had been inactive for months following a surgery to have an abdominal tumor removed. Oh June 8, he submitted a letter to the Washington Post in which he explained that his doctors only gave him weeks to live.

“This is the final verdict. My fight is over,” the letter read.
