Why This CEO Bets On Gas As Electric Cars Hit Roads (Part 2)

As the electrification of cars proliferates, more gas is needed to meet higher electricity demand, this according to Nick Mather, managing director of DGR Global.
“Whether it goes straight into electric vehicles or gets stored in a battery first, you’ve got to generate it somehow, and fossil fuel stations are still the major form of power generation around the world,” Mather told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Noosa Mining & Exploration Investment Conference.
Mather noted that while coal remains the dominant form of fossil fuel, he would like to see the trend shift towards “cleaner” fossil fuels, like gas.
He added that he is “very bullish on the gas price.”
