Deal-making track record at Bald Eagle Gold
Newly-formed Bald Eagle Gold (TSXV:BIG) has a track record of driving big projects in the resource space.
CEO Sidney Himmel spoke to Kitco on Thursday.
Earlier this year a collection of companies were amalgamated and re-formed as Bald Eagle Gold. The principal asset of the company is its Hot Springs gold project in north-central Nevada, covering a total area of approximately 11,894 acres.
The property is located at the intersection of the Battle Mountain and Getchell-Comstock Gold Trends. There are numerous well known historical and current producing mines in the region, including the Hecla’s Midas and Fire Creek Mines, Newmont’s Twin Creeks Mine and the Barrick/Newmont’s Getchell and Turquoise Ridge mines.
Nevada was recently selected as the world's top mining jurisdiction by the Fraser Institute.
Himmel was previously founder and CEO of a United States potash development company. He led a team of geologists, engineers, and mineral finance professionals, which took the potash asset in New Mexico from concept to completion of feasibility and environmental approval.
The company currently has a drill program at the Hot Springs property. Findings will be released throughout the summer.
