How Endeavour Silver will double its production
(Kitco News) - Endeavour Silver has a pipeline of projects that will "reshape the company," said CEO Dan Dickson.
On Monday Dickson spoke to Kitco at the Gold Forum Americas in Colorado Springs. Endeavour Silver (NYSE:EXK) is a mid-tier silver producer with operations in Mexico. This year the company expects to produce between 4.9 and 5.1 million ounces of silver from Guanacevi and Bolanitos mines.
Dickson is excited about the company's Terronera project, which will be Endeavour's largest operating mine. The project is construction ready subject to financing, receipt of amended permits and board approval.
"We are at an inflection point," said Dickson, stating that Terronera is "...going to double our production and cut our cost profile in half. We are looking for a construction decision by the end of this year. It really reshapes the company."
Dickson is hopeful that the mine is online by the end of 2024.
Regarding silver production overall, Dickson expects global output to be flat due to the lack of any major discoveries, but demand is ramping up.
"What's happening in EVs and solar panels...there's going to be explosion from a demand standpoint," said Dickson. "I think we're coming into a pinch point."
