(Kitco News) - World stock markets were mixed in uneventful trading overnight. The U.S. stock indexes are pointed toward firmer openings when the New York day session begins. The key "outside markets" Thursday morning see the U.S. dollar index trading firmer on a corrective bounce from strong selling pressure seen the past two days. Nymex crude oil prices are near steady. The International Energy Agency Thursday forecast that demand for crude oil next year will decline by 100,000 barrels a day from the IEA's last forecast.
