Turkey - Factors to Watch on Feb 15

ISTANBUL, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.

The lira stood at 3.7795 against the U.S. dollar at 0504 GMT, little changed from a close of 3.7810 on Wednesday.

The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond was at 12.11 percent in spot trade on Wednesday and rose to 12.16 percent in Thursday-dated trade.

The main BIST 100 share index fell 0.91 percent to 113,454.95 points on Wednesday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks gained on Thursday after Wall Street brushed aside strong U.S. inflation data and surged, in a move that also saw the dollar pinned at two-week lows even as Treasury yields jumped in anticipation of more rapid U.S. interest rate hikes. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 1 percent. ERDOGAN

President Tayyip Erdogan will meet Britain's Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby (0900 GMT), Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland (1100 GMT), U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi (1300 GMT), the head of the Turkish armed forces Hulusi Akar (1400 GMT) and the U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson (1630 GMT).

YILDIRIM

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim will attend a Turkish-Belarus business forum in Minsk before travelling to Berlin where he will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

UNEMPLOYMENT The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce unemployment data for the period October-December (0700 GMT).

BUDGET The Finance Ministry will announce budget data for January (0800 GMT).

CENTRAL BANK SURVEY The Central Bank will release its survey of economists' and business leaders' expectations for the economy (1130 GMT).

HALKBANK The state lender posted a net profit of 3.73 billion lira ($988 million) in 2017, up from 2.56 billion the previous year.

TUPRAS The oil refiner announced its net profit surged to 3.81 billion lira ($1.01 billion) in 2017 from 1.79 billion a year earlier.
