Northern Vertex Declares Commercial Production At Moss Gold Mine

Northern Vertex Mining Corp. (TSXV: NEE) has declared commercial production at the Moss Gold Mine in Arizona, effective Sept. 1. The mine will produce gold and silver. The company lists fiscal 2019 production guidance of 36,000 to 40,000 gold-equivalent ounces and fiscal 2020 guidance 59,000 to 65,000 gold-equivalent ounces.  “Commercial production is a significant milestone for our team of approximately 100 men and women operating the Moss Gold Mine,” says Ken Berry, president and chief executive officer. “In less than two years, we were successful in obtaining financing, completing construction and achieving commercial rates of production.”

Alamos Gold: First Phase Of Island Gold Mine Expansion Complete

Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX: AGI, NYSE: AGI) reports completion of the first phase of the expansion of the Island Gold Mine was done on schedule. This includes commissioning of the expanded mill, which is now operating at its targeted rate of 1,100 tonnes of ore per day, up from the previous name plate capacity of 900 tonnes. “We expect higher grades and throughput to drive significant production and free-cash-flow growth from the operation over the next year,” says John A. McCluskey, president and chief executive officer.

SilverCrest Metals Hikes Inferred Resources At Las Chispas Property

SilverCrest Metals Inc. (TSXV: SIL: NYSE American: SILV) reports that the mineral resource estimate has been increased for the Las Chispas property in Mexico. The company lists a 38% increase in silver-equivalent ounces from 62.8 million to 86.7 million, and a 26% increase from 3.4 million tonnes to 4.3 million. The inferred resource estimate contains 511,800 ounces gold and 48.3 million ounces silver. SilverCrest reports a 10% increase in the silver-equivalent grade from 568 grams per tonne to 623 gpt.
