Gold Extends Early Losses As USDX Rallies, Crude Oil Sells Off
(Kitco News) - Gold prices are trading moderately lower and have hit new daily lows in mid-morning dealings Friday. The gold and silver markets moved down at the same time the U.S. dollar index added to overnight gains and hit a new daily high, while Nymex crude oil futures prices sold off further and notched a fresh daily low. February gold was last down $7.00 at $1,223.30.
