Mueller finds no Trump-Russia Conspiracy - Download The Report
(Kitco News) - After nearly two-years of investigations, the long-awaited Mueller report could not find evidence that President Donald Trump or anyone on his team colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
According to a redacted version of the report released thursday, Mueller’s team did not find sufficient evidence saying: “While the investigation identified numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump Campaign, the evidence was not sufficient to support criminal charges.”
Mueller added that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to charge any campaign officials with working as an unregistered foreign agent of Russia.
Along with inconclusive evidence of collusion, the investigate team could not determine if the president tried to obstruct justice, stating that the evidence could not not exonerate him either.
The investigating team looked at 10 incidents related to the obstruction charges including Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey and efforts Trump made to encourage witnesses not to co-operate.
