Lower Grade Ore Forces Rio Tinto To Revise Guidance
Rio Tinto said "operational challenges" at its Greater Brockman hub in the Pilbara is lowering product grade and forcing the miner to lower guidance, the company said today.
The company said the resulting guidance of Pilbara shipments for 2019 is being revised to between 320 million tonnes and 330 million tonnes from a previous 333 million tonnes and 343 million tonnes.
Rio Tinto is one of the world's largest diversified miners.
