12.2 Carat Dimaond Is Sold For $105,000
BlueRock Diamonds sold a 12.2 carat diamond for $105,000 in a tender earlier this month.
The diamond, recovered from the Kareevlei Diamond Mine in the Kimberley region of South Africa, was the second most valuable recovered by the company.
BlueRock's Mike Houston, Executive Chairman, is hoping for more diamond recoveries.
"We have made excellent progress in improving our operational practices at Kareevlei which has resulted in increased volumes and the more regular recovery of higher value stones."
