Kitco News

RCT, Australia-based automation specialists, announced today that it will help automate Chinova Resources' Osborne Mine in Queensland.

RCT will be installing its guidance automation package on two CAT 2900 loaders that operate in the copper-gold underground mine.

RCT said it will "...provide an underground Teleremote Cabin complete with a Laser Guard Containment Unit and analogue communications as well as a Fibre Optic Control Station (FOCS) located on the mine’s surface."

Earlier this week RCT announced that its work on five mine sites owned by Westgold Resources in Western Australia's Murchison area are nearly automated.
