(Kitco News) - Gold prices are holding mild gains as midday approaches Thursday, despite outside markets that are bearish: higher U.S. dollar index, higher U.S. stock market and weaker oil prices. The technical posture for gold remains overall bullish, which continues to invite the chart-based speculators to the long side of the market on any price pullbacks. December gold was last up $4.00 an ounce at $1,503.20.
