Why economic fundamentals falling apart is a good thing for gold

(Kitco News) - Many fundamental forces are in line to drive gold price higher, especially when it comes to monetary policy, which is “destroying” fiat currencies around the world, this according to Frank Holmes CEO of U.S. Global Investors.
“Bad news is good news for gold. What’s happening is how fast the bond market immediately responds to negative PMI numbers,” Holmes told Kitco News.
Any future volatility in the equities markets globally would depend on the outcome of the trade wars with China, Holmes said.
