(Kitco News) - W Resources (AIM: WRES)--a tungsten, tin and gold mining company--said Thursday that its flagship La Parrilla Mine in Spain commenced production.

The company said the mine is on track towards achieving its target of two million tons per annum run-of-mine, producing 2,700 tons of WO3 concentrate.

"With the new concentrator complete, W is now producing tungsten and tin concentrate in line with the La Parrilla standard concentrate specifications. Initial tungsten concentrate grades meet the shipment criteria levels and will continue to improve as the plant reaches steady-state production. The first shipment shipments to customers from the new concentrator are scheduled for December," said the company in a news release.

The company filmed a site blast at the mine and uploaded it to YouTube.
