(Kitco News) - Boreal Resources' board terminated Karl Richard Antonius' position as CEO.
Antonius is charged with sexually assaulting a woman on a blind date in 2015. The former CEO is on trial at the B.C. Supreme Court. The Vancouver Sun reported that Antonius had claimed he had sexsomnia, a condition similar to sleepwalking making his acts involuntarily.
Boreal said "...Antonius failed to make timely and adequate disclosure to the Company's Board of Directors of his role in court proceedings in British Columbia that have been the subject of media reporting this week."
"Prior to media reports this week the Company's Board of Directors had not been made aware of the nature of charges made against Mr. Antonius or his defence to them."
Boreal (CVE:BMX) is a mineral exploration company focused on the discovery of silver, zinc, copper, and gold deposits in Sweden and Norway.
