(Kitco News) - Gem Diamonds (LSE:GEMD) said Monday that the second round of the Letšeng flexible tender sales raised a further $6.7 million.
The tender values Gem's average value per carat at $1,615 compared to Q4's $1,713.
"The flexible tender sales process was put in place as a result of the March large diamond tender being cancelled due to the travel and other Covid19 restrictions imposed by the Belgian government and the governments of the company's clients. The flexible tender sales process will continue during the period of these restrictions," said the company.
