(Kitco News) - Election Day is starting to wind down, and the following is a list of when polling stations are closing.

It is expected that results will start rolling in around 8 a.m.

Some polling stations in the same state may have different schedules due to time zones. The times shown are when all polls in that state have closed.

Results are expected to roll in around 8 p.m. However, vote watchers can expect a long night as it will take a while to tabulate all the results. It could take days for some states to tabulate the final results.

Nearly 100 million Americans have voted in advanced polls during what has been a tumultuous campaign.

The magic number to watch this evening is 270; that is the amount of electoral college votes a candidate needs to win the presidential race.
