Mosaic reports 40% sales revenue increase in May 2021

(Kitco News) - The Mosaic Company (NYSE:MOS), the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, today announced its May 2021 sales revenue and volumes by business unit.

The company said that in May 2021, Mosaic produced 891 thousand tonnes of potash, which is 10% more than 810 thousand tonnes produced in May 2020. Potash sales revenue in May 2021 was $246 million, a 40% increase over May 2020 sales revenue ($176 million).

Additionally, the company produced 553 thousand tonnes of finished phosphate product in May 2021, which is 9% less than a year ago (608 thousand tonnes). However, sales revenue from phosphates operations reached $327 million, a 53% increase over May 2020 sales revenue ($214 million).

The company’s total sales revenue, including revenue from the Mosaic’s fertilizantes business unit, reached $909 million in May 2021, which is 40% more than a $649 million sales revenue a year ago.
