Volcanic Gold Mines, Radius Gold jump on drill results

(Kitco News) - Today Volcanic Gold Mines (TSX-V: VG) and Radius Gold Mines reported 14.8m @ 3.96 g/t gold and 1,097 g/t silver, including 2.2m @ 9.79 g/t gold and 2,035 g/t silver, and 1.85m @ 5.6 g/t gold and 2,801 g/t silver from their La Peña vein at the Holly Project in Guatemala.
Volcanic was up 17% to 50 cents a share 12:40 p.m. ET. Radius jumped 23% to 29 cents a share.
The project is a joint venture.
Simon Ridgway, Volcanic's President and CEO, commented: "It is great to see La Peña vein developing as a robust gold/silver system. We are currently drilling hole HDD-21-021, stepping out along strike of La Peña vein which does not appear to be a narrow shoot."
