(Kitco News) - Newmont (NYSE: NEM, TSX: NGT), the world’s top gold mining company, announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.55 per share of common stock, payable on September 23, 2021 to holders of record at the close of business on September 9, 2021.
According to the company’s data, the declared quarterly dividend of $0.55 per share is in line with the previous quarter and significantly higher compared to a dividend of $0.25 per share a year ago.
Newmont is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of copper, silver, zinc and lead. The company’s portfolio of assets is anchored in favorable mining jurisdictions in North America, South America, Australia and Africa. Newmont is the only gold producer listed in the S&P 500 Index. The company was founded in 1921 and has been publicly traded since 1925.
