Mosaic reports 56% sales revenue growth in August 2021

(Kitco News) - The Mosaic Company (NYSE:MOS), the world’s leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, today announced its August 2021 sales revenue and volumes by business unit.

The company said that in August 2021, Mosaic produced 610 thousand tonnes of potash, which is 18% less than 741 thousand tonnes produced in August 2020. The company’s potash sales revenue in August 2021 was $196 million, a 27% increase over August 2020 sales revenue of $154 million.

Additionally, the company produced 666 thousand tonnes of finished phosphate product in August 2021, which is 10% less than a year ago (743 thousand tonnes). However, sales revenue from phosphates operations reached $465 million in August 2021, a 78% increase over August 2020 sales revenue of $261 million.

The company’s total sales revenue, including revenue from the Mosaic’s fertilizantes business unit, reached $1,263 million in August 2021, which is 56% more than its sales revenue of $808 million a year ago.
