(Kitco News) - Solaris Resources CEO Daniel Earle credits Dave Lowell with making the company a success.

Earle spoke to Kitco correspondent Paul Harris at BMO's Global Metals & Mining Conference held in Florida last week.

Solaris (TSE:SLS) is advancing a portfolio of copper and gold assets in the Americas, which includes: a high-grade resource with expansion and additional discovery potential at the Warintza copper and gold project in Ecuador; discovery potential on the grass-roots Tamarugo project in Chile and Capricho and Paco Orco projects in Peru.

In February the company announced its highest grades to date, 100m of 1.64% cueq near surface in emerging northeast extension at Warintza.

Dave Lowell, the "World's Best Mine Finder,' had a storied career making 17 major minerals deposits over a 50-year career. Solaris Resources' flagship project, Warintza, was a discovery Lowell made while exploring in southeast Ecuador in the early 2000s. Lowell passed away in 2020.

Solaris Resources (TSE: SLS) has enjoyed the boom in copper. The company has traded up 95% to $13.94 a share in the past year.

Solaris is managed by the Augusta Group.
