'A 30- to 50-million tonne exploration target just couldn't be denied' - Panther Metals
(Kitco News) - ASX-listed Panther Metals' Coglia project is just 70 kilometers from Glencore's Murrin Murrin complex in Western Australia.
Tuffin spoke to Kitco on Monday.
Panther Metals (ASX: PNT) touts a maiden 30-50 million tonne JORC-compliant nickel-cobalt exploration target at the Coglia Ni-Co project. Significant drill intercepts at Coglia include 6m at 2.50% nickel, 808ppm cobalt and 6m at 1.57% nickel, 2,170ppm cobalt.
The company is building on past results, said Tuffin, noting two past drilling programs.
"We've got a fairly technical team with Panther. We just did what we do naturally and put it together in a database, had a quick review and it went well. We've got an actual large target here," said Tuffin. "A 30 to 50-million tonne exploration target just couldn't be denied."

Murrin Murrin is a remote, fully-integrated nickel and cobalt producer. In 2018, Glencore said that the complex produced 39,717 tonnes of nickel and 3,244 tonnes of cobalt in metal, including metals and minerals we process from third-parties.
