IAMGOLD, Endeavour report their gold operations in Burkina Faso unaffected by recent political developments
(Kitco News) - Endeavour Mining (TSX: EDV) and IAMGOLD (TSX: IMG) reported today that their operations in Burkina Faso are not affected by the recent political events.
The companies continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates if appropriate.
IAMGOLD is a mid-tier gold mining company operating in North America, South America and West Africa. The company has three operating mines: Essakane (Burkina Faso), Rosebel (Suriname) and Westwood (Canada).
Endeavour Mining is one of the world’s senior gold producers and the largest in West Africa, with operating assets across Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. In Burkina Faso, the company operates three gold mines (Hounde, Boungou and Mana).
