Fortuna increases silver and gold production in Q3, reiterates its 2022 guidance
(Kitco News) - On Thursday, Fortuna Silver Mines (NYSE: FSM) (TSX: FVI) announced that in Q3 2022, the company produced 66,344 ounces of gold, an increase of 1.4% over Q3 2021, as well as 1,837,506 ounces of silver, up 7.3% over Q3 2021.
The company said it delivered another consistent production quarter with all mines on target to achieve annual guidance for silver and gold, adding that gold production increase was mainly driven by Lindero and Yaramoko mines, while silver production increase was primarily driven by higher tonnage treated at the San Jose mine.
In Q3 2022, Fortuna Silver also produced 9.1 million pounds of lead (Q3 2021: 8.2 million pounds) and 11.9 million pounds of zinc (Q3 2021: 12.4 million pounds) as by-products.
Fortuna added it reiterates its 2022 annual production guidance range of 6.2 to 6.9 million ounces of silver and 244 to 280 thousand ounces of gold or between 369,000 and 420,000 gold equivalent ounces, including lead and zinc by-products.
Fortuna Silver Mines is a Canadian precious metals mining company with four operating mines in Argentina, Burkina Faso, Mexico and Peru, and a fifth mine under construction in Côte d'Ivoire.
