Dec 2 (Reuters) - Six people were killed while illegally mining limestone in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh on Friday, police said. About 12-15 people were working when the mine collapsed in Malgaon village, around 315 km (196 miles) from state capital Raipur. "They were working in a small local mine made by themselves in government land," Nivedita Paul, a senior district police official, told Reuters.

Five of those killed were women while two others suffered minor injuries, Paul added.
