(Kitco News) - The markets face a lot of crosscurrents, noted Grant Williams, author and host of the Grant Williams Podcast, but commodities are the one sector that should work.

In mid-July, Kitco Mining spoke to Williams at the Rule Symposium Natural Resource Investing 2023 show held in Boca Raton, Florida.

Williams noted that financial markets have been roiled by geopolitical concerns and other events.

"It's really difficult to find a place in the financial ecosystem that's calm and centered, where you can actually make some sensible decisions about long-term capital," said Williams. "Except commodites — right now, commodities are just about the one place where you can put capital to work."

Williams said that most investors overlook commodities, because the sector requires patience.

"People's investment time horizons have become increasingly shorter over the last 30 years," noted Williams. "No one cares about commodities, but at some point, they will. There's no bull market like the commodity bull market."

Kitco Mining’s coverage of the Rule Symposium Natural Resource Investing 2023 was sponsored by G Mining Ventures.
