Copper miners rise on soft dollar, supply fears

** Copper miners rise, tracking price of the red metal


** Benchmark three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange up 0.5% at $8,262 a tonne, boosted by weak dollar and worries about a potential tightening of supply from mines


** U.S.-listed shares of global mining giants Rio Tinto and BHP Group climb 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively


** Copper miners Southern Copper and Freeport-McMoRan each up 0.6%


** Canadian miners Teck Resources and First Quantum Minerals each up 1.3%
