This “Forgotten EV” Metal Will Outperform Peers

Tin has been living in copper’s shadows when it comes to metals used for electric vehicles, but Russell Clark, CEO of Kasbah Resources, said that tin is just as vital as other base metals.
“People talk about cars and windmills and all those things, but they all need to be joined, and that’s why the copper story is so strong, but you need tin to join it all together in the form of solder,” Clark told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Noosa Mining & Exploration Investment Conference.
Clark noted that 50% of tin usage is in solar panels and related technologies. The tin market is around 350,000 tons a year, according to Clark. (show less)
