Global PMI: Key Number To Track Says Holmes
Kitco News speaks with U.S. Global Investors’ Frank Holmes about gold prices, the oil & gas sector and the global economy. Holmes argues that inflation is on the horizon. “I think sometime in the next 12 months….we will see inflation basically kick up.” He also expects to see a slowdown in gold supply over the next 2 years. “I think that’s going to be a positive indicator [for the metal].” With regards to the PGMs, he says that although there is inventory buildup for platinum and palladium in the ETFs, car sales have been booming, which makes the PGMs an asset class to keep an eye out for. “Copper is another one that is a classic asset class to invest in,” he adds.
