Jan 22 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened higher on Thursday, inching toward all-time highs, after President Donald Trump dialed back his threat of tariffs on European countries, while fresh data pointed to a resilient U.S. economy.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI), rose 0.81%. The S&P 500 (.SPX), rose 0.70%, while the Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC), rose 0.97% at the opening bell.
