Chilean copper output rises in June at Escondida and Collahuasi, but drops at Codelco teaser image

Chile’s copper output from major producers mostly gained in June versus a year before, according to data published by state copper commission Cochilco on Monday.

BHP-controlled Escondida produced 111,400 metric tons, up 45.8% from a year earlier, while the major Collahuasi mine, partly owned by Anglo American and Glencore, produced 34,900 metric tons, an increase of 1.7%.

Output from state-run Codelco, however, fell 4.8% to 114,400 tons, according to Cochilco.
