Highlander Silver (TSX:HSLV) is positioning itself as the next major player in the silver sector, stepping into the space left open by recent consolidation among mid-tier companies, President & CEO Daniel Earle shared with Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends.
With heavyweight backing from industry leaders like Richard Warke, the Lundins, and Eric Sprott, the company has recently launched a drilling program at the Bonita vein area. The focus is on targeting larger structures than those previously explored at Ayelen, where a high-grade gold and silver resource had already been outlined by a former operator.
“Finding assets silver assets that have both scale and high grade is exceedingly difficult. The formation of Highlander Silver was around the concept of pooling capital, knowledge and networks to try and create something with true world-class potential,” explained Earle.
“Across the investment landscape, you're seeing that these go-to silver names are disappearing and that will force a rotation of capital. We want to position ourselves to be that next consensus ownership position in the silver sector,” said Earle.
