Outcrop Silver & Gold (TSXV: OCG; OTCQX: OCGSF) is positioning its Santa Ana project in Colombia as one of the highest-grade primary silver deposits globally, with CEO Ian Harris setting ambitious targets as drilling continues.
“We want to make sure we’re getting close to or break that a hundred million ounce number,” he told Kitco Mining at the 2025 Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek, adding, “if you can break a hundred million, now you’re talking about the production of about eight, seven, maybe 10 million ounces a year.” He said reaching that milestone could put Santa Ana “among the world’s top silver producers.”
The project’s initial resource outlined 24 million ounces at 614 grams per tonne silver equivalent, plus 13.5 million ounces inferred, based on six veins and around 40,000 meters of drilling. Since then, Outcrop has made six additional discoveries along the 17-kilometer trend and plans to drill approximately 30,000 meters this year, with an updated resource expected in early Q1 2026.
The growth push is supported by new funding, with Outcrop reporting on September 24, 2025, proceeds of C$4.1 million from the exercise of 18.8 million share purchase warrants originally issued in a 2022 financing. The company said the program “remains on track” to deliver the upcoming resource update.
Metallurgy has emerged as a differentiator. “It’s not just high-grade,” Harris said.”It’s high-grade, extremely high recovery, and amazing concentrate.” He also tied Outcrop’s story directly to its resource base, independent of silver price, stating that they “trade to a beta to silver, that’s why it’s got so explosive.”
The combination of resource growth, high recoveries, and exploration upside is drawing attention at a time when silver prices are topping 14-year highs, and Outcrop is positioning Santa Ana to capture that momentum with catalysts in both drilling results and the resource update.
