NEW DELHI, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Consortium partner Aker
Energy may submit a field development plan for the Pecan
oilfield off Ghana to the country's authorities by April,
Ghana's deputy energy minister said on Wednesday.
Last year the Norwegian company said it would postpone
submission because of concern over possible sanctions linked to
the war in Ukraine given that Russia's Lukoil is also
part of the consortium.
Deputy minister William Owuraku Aidoo said at the India
Energy Week conference Aker had met the president and "stated
they are going to do it in April".
Aker Energy, controlled by Aker ASA , owns 50% in
the deepwater block where the Pecan field is located, while
Lukoil holds 38%, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation has 10%
and Fueltrade 2%.
Aker did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
