Hungary cenbank sees "tough job" in cutting back CPI to single digits

BUDAPEST, March 8 (Reuters) - Hungary will have a "tough job" cutting back inflation into single digits by the end of the year from over 25% at the start of 2023, central bank Deputy Governor Barnabas Virag told parliament on Wednesday. Virag said the bank would pursue a monetary policy that restores price stability as soon as possible. (Reporting by Gergely Szakacs)
