FRANKFURT, March 21 (Reuters) - Euro zone banks on
average increased their capital ratio in the last quarter of
last year and remain solid, the European Central Bank's top bank
supervisor Andrea Enria said on Tuesday.
"Banks’ capital and liquidity positions remained solid and
well above minimum requirements, with the aggregated Common
Equity Tier 1 ratio standing at 15.3% and the liquidity coverage
ratio at 161% at the end of the fourth quarter of 2022," he told
European lawmakers.
The CET1 ratio stood at 14.7% in September 2022, with the
liquidity coverage ratio at 162%.
