ROME, April 10 (Reuters) - Italy plans to cut its 2024
economic growth forecast, government officials said, as it
weighs the negative impact of rising interest rates and
difficulties in spending EU post-COVID recovery funds.
In its Economic and Financial Document (DEF) to be unveiled
on Tuesday, the Treasury forecasts gross domestic product (GDP)
will grow in 2024 by 1.4%, down from a 1.9% projection made in
November, the officials said.
The 2023 growth target is set to be raised to 1% from 0.6%.
