On Tuesday, SBI, acting through its London branch, mandated Citigroup, Emirates NBD Capital, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and Standard Chartered Bank as joint lead managers to arrange a series of fixed income investor calls in Asia and Europe. U.S. yield plus a spread in the range of 140-150 basis points,
two merchant bankers aware of the matter said on Wednesday.
The state-run lender is looking to raise funds through
dollar-denominated bonds maturing in five years and the issue
will be open for investors in next 2-3 working days, they said.
The lender could raise around $500 million to 1$ billion via
this issue, based on investor appetite, the bankers added.
