MOSCOW, March 2 (Reuters) - Russian banks could post combined profits of 1.5 trillion roubles ($19.93 billion) in 2023, Alexander Danilov, director of the central bank's banking regulation and analytics department, said at a banking conference on Thursday. Russian banks' profits slumped 90% in 2022 to 203 billion roubles ($2.70 billion) under the pressure of sweeping Western sanctions on Russia's financial sector.
