TOKYO, April 11 (Reuters) - Japan's crude steel
output is forecast to fall 4.6% in the April-June quarter from a
year earlier to 21.92 million tonnes, the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry (METI) said on Tuesday.
Demand for steel products, including those for exports, is
forecast to decline 2.4% to 19.97 million tonnes in April-June
quarter versus a year earlier, the ministry said, citing an
industry survey.
Exports are forecast to fall 8.4%, the ministry said.
