April 18 (Reuters) - Italy posted a trade surplus with
the rest of the world of 2.108 billion euros in February,
compared with a deficit of 1.475 billion euros in the same month
of 2022, data showed on Tuesday.
Exports rose 10.8% year-on-year, while imports increased
3.1%, national statistics office ISTAT reported.
With European Union countries, Italy registered a February
trade deficit of 1.889 billion euros, compared with a deficit of
313 million euros in 2022.
Exports to EU nations in February were up 5.5% year-on-year,
compared to a rise of 11.4% in imports.
