STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 97.52 points, or 0.16%, to 59,813.23, while the broader NSE index gained 15.3 points, or 0.09%, to 17,722.15, as worries about weak spending by IT company clients weighed. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.07% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 82.04 per dollar, down on decline in Asian peers following upbeat U.S. data. GOVERNMENT BONDS: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.08 rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.2460% vs previous close of 7.2475%, as traders await fresh triggers. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS: The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down 1 bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 6.16%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 25 bps at 6.65% against 6.40% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.67%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.5075%. (Reporting by Dharamraj Dhutia; Editing by Sonia Cheema)
