April 20 (Reuters) - Euro zone consumer confidence rose by 1.6 points in April from the
March number, figures released on Thursday showed.
The European Commission said a flash estimate showed euro zone consumer morale improved to
-17.5 this month from revised -19.1 in March.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected a rise to -18.5.
In the European Union as a whole, consumer sentiment rose by 1.7 points to -18.9.
