STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 29.1 points, or 0.05%, to
60,027, tracking losses on most Asian gauges and a dip in U.S.
equity futures. The broader NSE index lost 4.5 points,
or 0.03%, to 17,738.9. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was little changed at 81.91 versus the
U.S. dollar amid losses on most Asian currencies. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.00
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.1144% on profit booking, after
benchmark yield hit one-year low. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
2 bps at 6.55%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 3 bps to 6.02%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.80% against 6.75% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.78%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7216%.
