April 28 (Reuters) - Austria's economy shrank by 0.3%
quarter-on-quarter during the first quarter, the country's
statistics office said on Friday, saying that the momentum is
cooling after the stagnation of the past two quarters.
External dynamics declined in the first quarter, added Wifo,
which compiles data for the government, saying that exports fell
by 1.8%, more than imports (-0.1%), such development weighed on
GDP.
The Vienna-based think tank said GDP grew by 1.8% when
compared to the prior-year period.
